Career
Assistant, designer at Paris fashion houses of Jean Desses 1950-1955, Guy Laroche 1956-1958. Established own Valentino fashion house with Giancarlo Giametti in Rome 1960. Launched Valentino Piu (interior decor, textiles, bed linens and gifts) 1973.
Ready-to-wear boutiques opened in Rome 1972, Milan 1979 and elsewhere throughout Europe, United States of America and Japan.
Director of numerous franchises producing spectacles, swimwear, leather goods, household linens and Valentino perfume. Work exhibited at Victoria & Albert Museum, London 1971, Louisiana Jolla Museum of Art, California 1982.
Designer of costumes for films Wild and Wonderful 1964, Hello-Goodbye 1970. Neiman-Marcus.
