Always desired art as a career, and studied in leisure time from seventeen i years of age. Followed landscape under various masters. In 1890 devoted himself entirely to art, and exhibited same year at Royal Academy Gossips in Saint Ives.
Since then frequent exhibitor at Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, Liverpool Walker Art Gallery, Manchester City Art Gallery, et cetera
Studied in Paris under Benjamin Constant, Jules Lefebvre for painting, and M. Chapu for modelling, and was two years at the Herkomer School, Bushey. Painter of Her Own Plot, One O’clock Two O’Clock, Passing, A Lady in White, et cetera
Works principally at portraits and figure subjects in oils, and fond of water-colour for landscape work. Son of Parker Pay of Dewsbury.
