W. Lee Kuhre

W. Lee Kuhre was born on November 9, 1947 in Fort Collins, Colorado, United States. Son of Mason and Jane (Case) Kuhre.

Education

W. Kuhr graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in 1970. In 1982 he received from the University of San Francisco his M.S.

Career

Kuhre was in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1968 to 1974. He worked as an environmental and safety manager at Anschutz Corp. (mining company), Denver, CO, from 1971 until 1977. Then he was an environmental and safety project manager at Kaiser Engineers, Oakland, CA, from 1978 to 1983. Between 1984 and 1990 he was an environmental and safety manager at Pacific Bell, San Ramon, CA. Since 1991 Kuhre worked at Seagate Technology (computer hardware manufacturer), Scotts Valley, CA, as an executive director of environmental health and safety. Since 1988 he was senior lecturer at the University of San Francisco. Moreover, Kuhre is a certified hazardous materials manager, certified by AHERA, and registered Environmental Assessor and Environmental Professional.
