In 1947 a partnership was founded in Ellensburg between F. A. Kern and Harrison K. Dano which grew and developed into a firm with ten attorneys and a staff of about twenty people with offices in Ellensburg, Moses Lake and Royal City.
Dano * Miller * Ries is the Moses Lake portion of the dissolved larger firm which now includes the practices of Brian H. Miller from Othello. On January 1, 1995, the Ritzville law firm of Miller & Sackmann, with partners West. Walters Miller and Milton P. Sackmann, became part of Dano * Miller * Ries, thus expanding the firm"s historic base and clientele.
