Waihan Nomura finished primary school and learned Enghsh and German by himself.
Waihan Nomura became well known as a young philosopher for his articles contributed to the Rilcugo Zasshi, Daisan Teikolcu and other periodicals. He was once imprisoned for his article advocating absolute liberalism.
In 1921 he died in a suicide pact with Umeko Okamura, a woman who admired his philosophy.
