Then became owner and operator of city real estate, ranch properties, and chief executive of Independent Oil & Gas Company, and First National Bank & Trust Company, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Retired from active business about 1945. Donor of welfare projects: Philtower Building at Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Philmont Ranch at Cimarron, New Mexico, to Boy Scouts of America.
