Wakasaburo Ogawa studied communications business in England and USA in 1919 and then in Germany and France in 1920. Since 1929 he is the Doctor of Engineering.
In 1907 Ogawa Wakasaburo became parttime employee of Geology Research Institute of Ministry of Agriculture & Commerce. He became communications engineer in 1909 and served at Electrical Research Institute. In 1922 he appointed director of 5th Department of Denki Shikenjo (Electric Machinery Experimenial Station). In 1924 was an engineer of Government-General of Formosa. In 1924 - Member of the 18th Subcommittee of Nihon Gakujutsu Shinkokai (Japan Science Promotion Society). In 1937 Ogawa Wakasaburo was a director and chief of Technical Department of Fujikura Kogyo Kaisha (Fujikura Industrial Company); 1938 - Director of Fujikura Chemical Industry Company; 1939 - Chairman of Japan Rubber Association; 1941 - Managing director of Fujikura Industrial Company; 1942 - Member of the 17th Special Committee of Japan Science Promotion Society; 1943 - Director of Fujikura Research Institute and member of Dai-Nippon Kokii Gijutsu Kyokai (Great Japan Aeronautical Technique Association); 1945 - Founded and became chief director of DaiNippon Rubber Research Institute. Holds additional post of director of Fuji Kasei Kaisha (Fuji Chemical Products Manufacturing Company).
