Vosloo, Wallace Lockwood was born on January 17, 1962 in Cape Town, South Africa. Son of Wiehahn and Ruth Vosloo.

  • Achievements include patents for insulator pollution monitoring relay. Pioneering achievement in daylight corona detection (CoroCAM Ultraviolet camera system). Development of on-line insulator leakage current recording and analysing systems.

    Development of natural insulator ageing and pollution performance test facility. Establishment of analysis methods for the relative performance of insulator materials under severe marine pollution conditions.


Member of International Council on Large Electric Systems (in French: Conseil International des Grands Réseaux Électriques, abbreviated CIGRÉ) (various working groups), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, South African Institute Electrical Engineers (Western Cape committee 1999, President's award 1997).
