Career
He is heir apparent to the Dukedoms of Buccleuch and Queensberry. As the eldest son of the Duke of Buccleuch & Queensberry, he uses the courtesy title Earl of Dalkeith, a title to which he succeeded upon the death of grandfather, Walter Francis John Montagu Douglas Scott, 9th Duke of Buccleuch and 11th Duke of Queensberry, on 4 September 2007. Lord Dalkeith served as a Page of Honour to Queen Elizabeth II from 1996 to 1999.
His father held the same honour when he served as a page to Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother.
On December 12, 2013, the engagement was announced of the Earl of Dalkeith to Elizabeth, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs Hugh Cobbe, of East Woodhay, Hampshire.
