South Africa, 1899- 1902 (despatches, medal with six clasps, King’s medal).
Served on Personal Staff of His (or Her) Royal Highness the Duke of Connaught to Durbar, November 1902 to April 1903. On Personal Staff of Lord Northcote, Governor-General of Bombay, 1903. Scots Guards.
