Carver, Walter Lexor was born on October 16, 1889 in Cleveland. Son of Loren D. and Margaret (Jacob) Carver.

Career

Apprentice National Screw & Tack Company, Cleveland, 1908-1910. With engineering department Peerless Motor Car Company, 1910-1913. Chief engineer and superintendent production Wallis Tractor Company, Cleveland and Racine, Wisconsin, 1913-1916.

Foreign countries, 1916-1917. Superintendent production. Etc., Moline (Illinois) Plow Company, 1917-1920.

Chief engineer tractor department Midwest Engine Company, Indianapolis, 1920. General manager Antigo (Wisconsin) Tractor Corporation, 1921-1922. Vice president, treasurer T. B. Funk Company, Indianapolis, since 1922.

Traveled widely throughout the world. Technical work in Petrograd. Russia, 1916-1917; automotive work with Russian Army, at Riga front, 1917.

Made first technical tests of tractor haulage of artillery for United States Government.
