Since July 15, 2009. Lichtenstein graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor"s degree in economics. Before that, he attended Tulane University. Lichtenstein manages a charitable organization called Steel Partners Foundation that is a significant donor to the building of a first Jewish synagogue in Aspen, Colorado.
Lichtenstein has a daughter, Isabella, with Annabelle Bond.
