After practicing in Austin for many years, he took in Justice Martin A. Nelson in approximately 1920.
General Wright died in 1925 and Justice Nelson took in as a partner in May of 1927, Hugh V. Plunkett, Senior Mr. Plunkett had the all time high marks of what is now known as the William Mitchell College of Law with a 4 year average 94.75%.
Justice Nelson went on the District Bench in Mower County Minnesota in 1943 at which time Hugh V. Plunkett, Junior joined the firm. Warren F. Plunkett joined the firm in October of 1948 and handled much of the trial work for the firm until he went on the District Bench May of 1955.
Judge Plunkett retired from the bench in 1982 and resumed his practice with the firm.
