Achievements include discovery that agricultural crops subject to acid rain will suffer little or no yield reduction or physiological damage; discovery that plant uptake and translocation of TNT is very limited while RDX is readily taken up and concentrated in plant tissues; that organic amendments offer promise for bioremediation of soils contaminated with these explosives.
