Mazereeuw represented her native country twice at the Summer Olympics, starting in 1972 (Munich, West Germany), but the highlight of her career was at the 1975 World Aquatics Championships in Cali, Colombia, where she won silver medals at both the 100 m (1:1429) and the 200 m (2:3750) breaststroke. She was also part of the Dutch 4 × 100 m medley relay team that won the bronze medal with a time of 4:21.45.
