Career
He became professor in the Academy of Arts, Berlin, 1829. He superintended excavations at Herculaneum and Pompeii. Cast the finest bronzes and silver vases for the Museum Borbonico.
And was architect of many fine houses and villas in Pompeiian style in England and the United States.
