He is the recipient of fellowships from the James Merrill House and the Stadler Center for Poetry and has served as the Reginald South. Tickner Writing Fellow at the Gilman School for 2013-2014 and 2014-2015. His poems and translations have appeared or are forthcoming in Agni, Blackbird, FIELD, Narrative, The New Republic, The Southern Review, The Kenyon Review, and elsewhere. He is the son of American novelist Christine Schutt.
