Will Till was born in 1893 in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

Career

Devoted to establishing photography as an art form in South Africa, Will Till lectured, demonstrated, and did a great deal of executive work in photographic societies during his long career. For twenty-five years he was the South African correspondent for London's Photograms of the Year. Will Till was elected an Honorary Fellow of RPS, for which he served as South Africa's corresponding member, in 1937, and he won a large number of international salon awards.

Membership

A member and one-time president of the Johannesburg Photographic Society, Will Till was also active in the Johannesburg Camera Club and chairman of the South African Salon of Photography. In 1937 he was appointed a member of the London Salon.
