Career
He represented Northumberland County in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1930 to 1956 as a Liberal member. He was born in Burnt Church, New Brunswick, the son of William Anderson and Janet Sewell. He lived in Newcastle and maintained a summer home at Burnt Church.
Anderson was variously Minister of Lands and Mines and Chairman of the New Brunswick Electric Power Commission, both cabinet positions.
Stafford Anderson"s daughter, Margaret_Jean_Anderson represented New Brunswick in the Senate of Canada.
