Education

Graduate Queen’s College, Belfast, Ireland, 1815. Studied law with Cornelius P. Van Ness, Burlington, Vermont.

Career

Came to Vermont; became Baptist preacher in Fairfield, Vermont. Preached in Pownal, Waterville, Willistown, Jericho, Burlington, Hinesburgh, Richford (Vermont), 1835. Then preached in York, Greenwich, Perry, Lansingburgh, Hoosic, West Troy, Schenectady (all New York).

Pastor State Street Baptist Church, Albany, New York, 1857-1864. Published 4 volunteer magazine The Antiquarian, and General Review: Comprising Whatever Is Useful and Instructive in Ecclesiastical or Historical Antiquities. Serving as a Book of Useful Reference, on Subjects of Research and Curiosity.
