He attended the city schools, and completed his education at Harvard University. In preparation for a career in architecture the young man studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Ecoie des Beaux Arts in Paris, and acquired practical training in the offices of leading architects in Boston.
For several years he was employed with the firm of Strickland, Rutan & Coolidge, and on leaving that office worked for Little & Russell for a time. He began practice in association with Sidney Talbot Strickland and Alexander Law, and continued in that partnership until a few years prior to his decease when he opened an independent office.
As a member of the firm of Strickland, Blodget & Law he was associated with the planning of the Sheraton Apartments; Ritz Carlton Hotel, Junior League Building, ail in Boston, and personally designed a number of residences in the city and environs.
