Motion picture actor since 1919. Played leading role in The Volga Boatman, 1926. Appeared in King of Kings, 1927, Two Arabian Knights, 1928.

Starred in Skyscraper, The Leatherneck, Officer O’Brien, The Painted Desert. In title role of Hopalong Cassidy series since 1934, in series films, starring on nat. television. program since 1949. In Bar 20, 1943, Texas Masquerade, 1944.

Riders of the Deadline, 1944. Formed Hopalong Cassidy Prdns., 1945. Co-producer The Devil’s Playground, 1946, other prdns. include: Fool’s Gold.
