Career

Ordained in 1911 he was a Chaplain to the Forces during World War I, and was awarded the Defence Science Organisation in 1916 and the Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in 1919. Afterwards he was General Secretary of the Society until his elevation to the Episcopate as Bishop of Worcester in 1941. An Honorary Chaplain to the King, he died in post.
