Served as volunteer, Baltic, 1854 (medal). Staff Captain at Smyrna, April to September 1855. And Commandant Smyrna and Abydos, 1855-1856.
Commanded 62nd Wiltshire Regiment, 1876-1881. Employed in Egypt, 1882. Commanded West Kent uegimental District, 1882-1887. Reserve of officers.
