CHETWYND-STAPYLTON, William was born on May 15, 1825. Son of Major Chetwynd-Stapylton, 10th Hussars, and sister of late Lord Hammond. His grandfather, son of 4th Viscount Chetwynd.

Eton. 2nd Captain of Boats, won sculling, double-sculling, and pair-oar races, the latter 3 times. Merton College, Oxford (Scholar). Master of Arts.
Career
Fellow, 1847; won gold challenge cups for eights and for fours both at Thames and Henley Regattas, 1844. Rector of Old Malden, Surrey, 1850-1894. Hallaton, Leicestershire, 1894-1907.
Honourable Canon of Rochester.
