Career
Born in Wadmaninga, South Australia, he received a primary education before becoming a tailor"s cutter and draper. At the 1939 by-election, he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Labor member for Griffith. He held the seat until his defeat in 1949.
Conelan died in 1983.
