Honorary He was Member of Parliament for Buckinghamshire 27 February 1706 - 1708 and for Brackley 1708 - 20 April 1714 and 1715 - 15 July 1732, Egerton was also Colonel of the 36th (Herefordshire) Regiment of Foot (1715-1719) known as Colonel Egerton"s Regiment of Foot and of the 20th Regiment of Foot (1719-1732).
