Background

Finnemann, William was born on December 18, 1882 in Bueninghausen, Germany. Son of Bernard and Elizabeth (Nasse) Finnemann.

Career

Born in Hultrop, Soest, North Rhine-Westphalia in the German Empire, he was martyred by being thrown into the sea near Verde Island off the coast of Batangas City, Batangas. On December 7, 1999, he was declared Servant of God.

Achievements

  • Finnemann is currently in consideration for sainthood in the Roman Catholic Church with protocol number 2290 assigned by the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. On December 7, 1999, he was declared Servant of God.
