This work attempts to weave our current knowledge into scientific theory. Some of the questions addressed involve the Bang Theory, consisting of what physics can tell us about the origin and energy of stars, and the purpose of intelligence and life in our understanding of the evolving universe.

William Fowler was born on August 9, 1911 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. He was a son of late John McLeod and Jennie Summers (nee Watson) Fowler.
William graduated from the Ohio State University, where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, and received a Ph.D. in nuclear physics at the California Institute of Technology.
William started his career as a research fellow at W. K. Kellogg Radiation Laboratory of California Institute of Technology in 1936. In 1939, he was promoted to assistant professor, and in 1942, he became an associate professor.
William became full professor, retired in 1982, and since 1982, he was a professor emeritus. He was also a developer of proximity fuses and atomic bombs and worked for U.S. Government simce 1942-1948.

William married Ardiane Olmsted on August 24, 1940. In 1988 his wife deceased. He married Mary Dutcher on December 14, 1989. He had children: Mary Emily Fowler Galowin, Martha Summers Fowler Schoenemann.
