Present at the surrender of Fort of Chiniout, 1849.
Battle of Goojerat, in command of 2nd and 6th Companies Pioneers (medal and 2 clasps). Throughout the Mutiny as Brigade-Major and Deputy-Assistant Quartermaster-General Mooltan (medal).
