Green"s batting style is unknown. Green made two first-class appearances for Kent against England at White Hart Field in 1841, and Sussex at Beverley Ground, Canterbury in 1842. Against England, Green scored 16 runs in Kent"s first-innings, before being dismissed by Francis Fenner.
Against Sussex, he was dismissed for a duck by William Lillywhite, while in their second-innings he ended Kent"s innings unbeaten on 0, with Kent winning the match by 4 runs.
These were his only major appearances for Kent. He died at Gravesend, Kent on 25 November 1870.
