He entered the office of Cady, Berg & See as a student-draftsman, and several years later following Mr. Cady's withdrawal from the firm, practiced jointly with him. Under the name of Cady & Gregory he was identified with the design of several buildings at Yale University, including Bright Hall, North Sheffield Hall, Chittenden Library, the Law School, Infirmary and a number of dormitories.
After the turn of the century Mr. Gregory maintained an independent office for many years at 1170 Broadway, and in his work in that period designed many churches. Among these should be named the Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, Newark, N. J., 1912; Third Presbyterian Church at Newark, 1913; Parish House at the Church of the Redeemer, New Haven, Conn., 1919; Parish House, Central Presbyterian Church, Summit, N. J., 1923-24. He also served as architect of the Research Laboratory at New York University's Medical School in 1921, and the following year prepared plans for reconstruc¬tion of buildings at the University.
