Career
Hockmore was the son of John Hockmore of Buckland Baron,Newton Abbot, Devon. He matriculated at Corpus Christi, Oxford on 23 July 1596, aged 14. He was called to the bar at Middle Temple in 1610.
He was re-elected Member of Parliament for Street Mawes in 1624 for the Happy Parliament.
Hockmore died in 1626 at the age of 44.
