Career
He was a manufacturer of hats. In November 1891, he founded a hat factory at 22 Woodward Avenue. In 1888, he was a candidate for the Connecticut Senate from the 13th District against Lyman South. Catlin for the seat vacated by Nelson Taylor, Junior.
He was defeated, but contested the election.
In 1909, Hubbell was a sales agent for the H & B Hat Company organized by Harry Hubbell, John Bretz and John Banks.
