He is most widely recognized for creating, at age 14, the iOS application Fake-A-Text which, combined with his other applications, has received over 5 million downloads to date and is used by 1 in 12 American teenagers. During his two-year fellowship, LeGate plans on changing the way that we make decisions with his app Ponder.

Business Insider recognized LeGate as both one of the top 25 high school graduates of 2013, as well as one of "The 8 Hottest Teenage Startup Founders In The World Right Now." LeGate"s app Fake-A-Text was featured in The New York Times when he was 15 years old. Peter Thiel awarded LeGate a 2013 LeGate was named as one of the 2013 20 Under 20 youth leaders by 21st Century Leaders.
