William Mackinder

Career

He was re-elected in 1924 and 1929, and had held the seat for seven years when he died at the age of 50 in September 1930.

At the 1923 general election Mackinder was elected as the Member of Parliament (Member of Parliament) for Shipley in the West Riding of Yorkshire, winning the seat from the Liberal Party on his second attempt, after unsuccessfully contesting the seat in 1922.
