Judge District Court, 8th Judicial District of Texas, 1913-1921. Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, since 1921. Introduced and secured the passage of bill in Texas legislature establishing College of Industrial Arts at Denton, Texas.
A leader in fight to secure passage of bill remitting state taxes of Galveston County to City of Galveston for building the sea wall. As judge 8th Judicial District tried 7 brewery cases brought by State of Texas, which had distinct inffuence in Texas and United States on the prohibition issue.
