Career
He was regularly summoned to the Irish Parliament, and received an exemption from military service in consideration of the many charities performed by his Order. His salary was £40 per annum, a very large amount at the time. He went on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem in 1377.
He was reappointed Lord Chancellor of Ireland in 1382 and held the office until 1385.
