Practiced in Cincinnati, since 1869. Partnership with late Drausin Wulsin, as Wulsin & Worthington, 1877-1882, with Edward W. Strong, as Worthington & Strong, 1904-1914, later Worthington, Strong, Settinius & Hollister. Judge Superior Court of Cincinnati, 1882-1883.

Trustee to rebuild Hamilton County Court House, 1884-1886. Delegate Ohio State Constitutional Convention, 1912. Director and general counsel Little Miami Railroad Company Trustee University of Cincinnati, 1883-1888.

Trustee Cincinnati Museum Association, Cincinnati Music Hall Association, Spring Grove Cemetery, Colored Industrial School.
