Graduated from the high school, Smartsville, 1889.

Career

1 son, Eugene William. Teacher, public grade schools, Brady, California, 1890-1891. Admitted to California bar, 1894, and practiced at San Francisco until 1899.

Successively foreman, superintendent, efficiency engineer, general superintendent mines, assistant general manager mines, Anaconda Copper Mining Company, until 1924, general manager mines, 1924-1940. Consultant mining engineer since January 1, 1940.
