Background

Dodd, William Clifton was born on October 15, 1857 in Marion, Iowa, United States. Son of William Wylie and Rhoda Burns (Robb) Dodd.

Education

B., Parsons College, Fairfield, Iowa, 1883, A.M., 1886. Graduate McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago, 1886. (Doctor of Divinity, Parsons, 1904).

Career

Ordained Presbyterian ministry, 1886. Missionary to Siam, since 1886. Treasurer Laos Mission, 1887-1890, later founded theological seminary in connection with mission.

Has made extensive evangelistic tours in Siam, Burma and China. A leader in establishing missions among the Tai people in southern China and Indo-China. Home: Chiengrai, Siam.
