Worth, Texas, 1867. Admitted to bar, 1865, and practiced law at Watherford, Texas, 1865-1873, at Dallas, 1873. Still practicing law, with residences at Dallas and St. Louis. Organized, 1873, City Bank of Dallas (now City National Bank) and became its president.
President Exchange National Bank, Dallas, Texas, 1884. Since 1881 president Continental Land & Cattle Company owning 35,000 acres in Panhandle of Texas, upon which are 12,000 head of cattle). Became president Union Trust Company of St. Louis, 1890.
