Admitted to South Dakot bar, 1901 and began practice, Sioux Falls. Admitted to Idaho bar, 1909. Practiced at Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, 1909-1920.
Appointed to District Court, 1920.
Became Supreme Court justice, 1930, resigning, 1932, and resuming private practice.
Member Idaho State Board Education. Member of the board regents U. Idaho, 1940-1953. Mason (32°), Rotarian.
Married Mame Johnson, April. Children: Marjorie (Mistress R. Greene), Josephine (Mistress L. Rogers), Frances (Mistress H. Sanderson).
