Hill, William Free was born on March 4, 1867 in Crawford Company, Pennsylvania, United States. Son of Theodore Wallace and Rebecca (Free) Hill.

Education

Educated Allegheny College, Pennsylvania.

Career

State Grange, 4 years and Master 10 years. Also lecturer at farmers’ institutes. Special representative Pennsylvania Department Agriculture.

Appointed delegate to International Institute Agriculture, Italy, 1904-1908, and assisted in establishing the institute permanently. Studied system of farm credits in Europe and organized a dozen banks in Pennsylvania, serving on board directors of each several years. Delegate by appointment of Governors of Pennsylvania to Farmers' National Congress, Interstate Tax Congress, Interstate Road Congress, Charleston (South Carolina.) Exposition, etc.

Breeder thoroughbred white Plymouth Rock poultry. Trustee Pennsylvania State College.
