William Henry Traher

Student National Academy Design, New York City, 1930-1933, School Fine Arts, Yale, 1938-1939.

Career

Exhibited woodcuts State History Museum, Denver, 1934-1935. Art director Philip H. Gray, Incorporated., advertising, 1945-1947. 1952; senior staff artist Denver Museum Natural History, completing over 26,000 square feet of super-real life size diarama backgrounds, 1954-1976.

Other major works include Traher Wilderness murals Columbia Savings & Loan Association, Pueblo, Colorado, 1967, Four Faces of the West paintings (7 X 10 feet each) Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, under the Architecture, Saint Louis, 1970.

Board of directors Floyd Wilson Wilderness Education Foundation, Denver Art Museum, 1960-1962.
