(This lab manual is designed to be used in conjunction wit...)
This lab manual is designed to be used in conjunction with either Salmon's PASCAL text or as a stand-alone product. The manual is suitable for self-study as well as guided laboratory sessions. Some early labs are merely hands-on guides to the use of particular software packages--MS-DOS, MacIntosh, Turbo Pascal, and THINK Pascal. Most labs are system independent, providing step-by-step help in problem solving and the use of ISO Standard Pascal. The end of the lab manual features some major simulation programs: A Turing machine and a psychiatrist program.

(This new text introduces students of computer science to ...)
This new text introduces students of computer science to the theory, implementation, and applications of data structures and algorithms. Important features of this book include an abstract data type (ADT) approach and informally analyzed implementations using the Big-Oh notation. There is a strong emphasis on program readability, a point which is made in the first chapter and reinforced by example throughout. Recursion is also stressed and a chapter is devoted to its explanation. Clear tables and figures are used throughout the text and there are end-of-chapter exercises and suggestions for further study.
