Our predecessor firms were Baird & Hays (William J. Baird and Edward Hays) from 1947 to 1972 and Baird & Baird, P.S.C. from 1972 to January, 1991.
The senior member of all of those firms was William J. Baird who practiced law in Pikeville from 1937 until his death in October, 1987 with five years of service in the Federal Bureau of Investigation during World World War World War II The firm, which expanded as a family firm with his three sons, Bill III, John and Charles, now is a firm of eleven attorneys.
