(Bearing in mind the needs of the elementary logic student...)
Bearing in mind the needs of the elementary logic student, this text develops standard procedures for sound reasoning, yet simplifies and refines some of the material. The approach of the text allows for teaching flexibility: material can be developed to emphasize various combinations of such topics as logic and language, Aristotelian logic, arguments using compound statements and extended proofs without the use of truth tables, quantificational logic, and logic and scientific inquiry.
