Hall, William Leroy was born on November 24, 1847 in Knox Company, Tennessee, United States. Son of A. T. and Nancy Anna (Mitchell) Hall.

Education

Bachelor of Arts, Amherst College, 1871, Master of Arts, 1874.

Career

14, 1877. Began study of law with Judge John Baxter, Knoxville, Tennessee, 1871. Went to Montana and was clerk of Senate judiciary committee, Montana Legislature, 1871-1872, assisting in codifying the laws of the ty. Clerk and master District Court, Jefferson Company, Montana, 1872-1876.

Removed to Dallas, Texas, and was admitted to bar, 1876. Became one of proprs. Dallas Herald and conducted it until 1885.

In law practice, since 1885. Local counsel to 1903, assistant general attorney, 1903-1906, general attorney, since February 1, 1906, Texas & Pacific Railway.
