Career

Assistant City Model Schools, Adelaide. Headmaster Public School, Kapunda, S.A., 1878-1883. City Model Schools, Adelaide, 1884-1890.

Inspector of Schools, South Australia, 1891-1904. Made a special investigation into the Education System of Tasmania by arrangement between the Governments of S.A. and Tasmania, 1904. Founder of the South Australian Teachers’ Superannuation Fund in 1889, and Member of Board of Management till 1905. Director of Education, Hobart,Tasmania, since 1905.
